Very Interesting!!!
This book had something happening on each page! I could not put it down! I was amazed as to how the author could come up with such an original plot! This book was well worth the money! Excellent Book!!!

Terrific Book!
I love this book. It provided a wonderful retreat. I stayed up way past my bed time reading it! I couldn't put it down because I just HAD to find out what was going to happen next! The character development is so real that I could picture each person, what they were wearing, even the looks on their faces...and there were so many surprises. I think I even gasped out loud...I had the pleasure of meeting the author, Vicki Hubbard and I would like to say she is one of the most genuine, beautiful angels I have ever met. A heart of pure gold is how I would describe her. I hope she writes many more books. 5 stars!

Stories from the Heart: Black Butterflies:Secrets from the
I truly enjoyed Ms. Hubbard's book. The author weaves a flare for story telling with an eye for subtle emotional nuance. It is refreshing to find a story with a serious undertone interspersed with moments of brutal honesty and outright zaniness. I highly recommend this book.

Vegetarian Express Lane Cookbook: Really Easy Meals for Really Busy Cooks
Published in Paperback by Houghton Mifflin Co (May, 1996)
Authors: Sarah Fritschner, Lingta Kung, and Rux Martin
Average review score:

Great book for people learning how to cook!
This is the book that taught me how to cook. I was intimidated by other cookbooks with their long ingredient lists and complicated preparations. Recipes from this cookbook are easy to make and absolutely delicious. I would recommend this book for people who want to begin to cook more meals at home, even if they aren't vegetarian -- the recipes are so good that even meat-eaters would appreciate them.

Brilliant!
The recipes in this book are delicious, and most importantly, the ingredients are simple and inexpensive. I've seen a lot of books that have terrific recipes, but the cost of ingredients ends up being prohibitive. This is great vegetarian eating on a budget!

This one is a lifesaver!
I am a vegetarian & a working mom & this is by far the most valuable cookbook I own. I can honestly say I use it almost daily - the recipes make it so easy to fix a quick, healthy, tasty meal after a hard day working. The only (minor) quibble I have is that a lot of the recipes call for more fat or cheese than I like to use. The Creamy Chickpea Soup with Garlic & Lemon was the first vegetarian food my husband ever requested that I fix again! And I've served Lucky Beans & Rice to everyone & everyone likes it - even the bean haters. I honestly can't reccommend this book too highly.

Veterinarians Guide to Natural Remedies for Cats : Safe and Effective Alternative Treatments and Healing Techniques from the Nations Top Holistic Veterinarians
Published in Paperback by Three Rivers Press (February, 2000)
Author: Martin Zucker
Average review score:

If you love your cat you need to buy this book.
This book should be called Feline Nutritional Education for Dummies, because if you are feeding your pet cat food you definitely need this knowledge.

In brief, this book gives case studies of sick felines and how through nutritional healing they became well. This was achieved through feeding a diet of human grade ingredients along with nutritional supplements. The cheapest place by far to purchase supplements online is "iherb".

The holistic veterinarians that give information in this book are the finest in the United States.
Many of these veterinarians give recipes for a cooked homemade diet. However, the ultimate diet is raw, but in order for one to eventually transition their feline there, you first need to build a strong foundation, that this book gives you.

You will become motivated to change by understanding what is in pet food, then you will get the knowledge building blocks on how to make the nutritional transition to a true feline species appropriate diet.

Moreover, this book gets right to the point and may be difficult for many people to accept.
Many individuals are in denial that pet food just cannot be bad for their pet, if you are a person that is convinced through deductive argument based on scientific facts then this book is for you.

Outstanding book- a must for people who love their cat
I can not say enough good things about this book. I refer to it more times a day than I can count. It contains vital information that all pet lovers should know, from the quality of foods we feed them to the treatments for illnesses they get. I unfortunatly got this book after I lost my beautiful Ragdoll cat to fatty liver disease. Had I gotten it while he was alive I believe there could have been hope to save him. I still have three other cats though and this book is my "Bible" when it comes to their care. My other Ragdoll was on a "prescription" diet that was supposed to be good for her. After 4 months of diarrhea (that the vet kept giving pills for which did no good), I found this book. I changed her diet, gave her milk thistle, some probiotics (for one week), and she made a 100 percent turn around. This book also contains many telephone numbers where you can order herbs if you aren't lucky enough to live in an area where pet health stores (or people health stores) are available. I highly recommed this book. It is informative, thorough and will really open your eyes to your pets health.

A Real Life-Saver
Finding this book was a Godsend. After purchasing several other "natural cat care" books, this book exceeded all expectations and made the others a waste of money. This is the only book you'll ever need to keep your cat healthy, or in my case...to save its life. After my cat was diagnosed with a life-threatening disease called Fatty Liver Syndrome, I followed the suggestions of several veterinarians in this book, as well as utilizing "conventional" medicine with my local veterinarian and her blood enzyme levels were normal after only 3 weeks! Normally, recovery takes twice as long. This book offers alternative and supplemental care that is infomative and practical. I highly recommend it.

Where Do We Go from Here: Chaos or Community?
Published in Paperback by Beacon Press (November, 1989)
Author: Martin Luther Jr., Dr. King
Average review score:

Civil Rights 1967
Dr. King's last book provides a snapshot of where we were in 1967. Two turning points had been reached.

First, his program of nonviolent direct action was clearly winning the struggle against old fashioned southern segregation, and Dr. King was looking toward the next step. He believed that the next logical step toward setting people free was a massive government program addressing the problem of poverty.

Second, within the civil rights movement, a "black power" mentality was gaining prominence. Some argued that whites should be excluded from the civil rights movement, and that nonviolence should be abandoned. Dr. King insisted that this approach would only balkanize our country, having disastrous effect, especially on blacks.

As with his other books, the author's brilliance, his scholarship, and his Christian love all come through.

It would be best to read "Stride Toward Freedom" and "Why We Can't Wait" before reading this one.

The Truth Straight From The Source
The beauty and depth of this book is that it tells us about human political relations today even though it was written over 30 years ago!

I also like that it is Martin Luther King in his own words (not some opportunistic interpretation of his ideas) on subjects like:
Black Power
Affirmative Action
Poverty
Love

It also makes it painfully clear the Martin Luther King Jr. was far more extraordinary in his leadership than we give him credit for being today. He thought deeply, connected the dots, and put his life behind his ideals. This is a must read for anyone who hasn't already connected the dots between justice, religion and love.

If only people had listened!
This book is an underrated classic and it's truly a damn shame that it's no longer in print! Essentially, this is Martin Luther King's blueprint plans for a post Civil-Rights movement America. He speaks of multiethnic coalitions, against the less positive aspects of Black nationalism, and he speaks of ways to "turn the streetcorners of the ghettos from dens of iniquity to miniature schools." Much of what he says here is quite practical also. Read this and you will be happy that, although Dr. King is no longer with us, his message has been preserved.

Stacey's Broken Heart (Baby-Sitters Club, 99)
Published in Paperback by Scholastic (August, 1996)
Authors: Ann Matthews Martin, Jean Feiwel, and Bethany Buck
Average review score:

"Stacey's Broken Heart"
"Stacey's Broken Heart" is a book that focuses on Stacey, the treasurer of the Baby-sitters Club. She will be gone for a week and is confused about her boyfriend, Robert. She thinks she might be afraid of loosing him.

Ohhh...kind of sad, but necessary...
Poor Stacey! Robert broke her heart. I liked how it showed that even though Stacey's heart is broken, she goes on with her life. I liked how supportive her mom was. It tells you that, no, not all romances are "happily ever after"...only a tiny percent of teen romances last a lifetime. I have the feeling Mary Anne and Logan are next in line for splitsville...just a gut feeling.

I like it as much as I like Claudia and the Terrible Truth
The book was good and thick and suspenseful. It was a well-written and enjoyable book. I can't really decide if my favorite book is Stacey's Broken Heart or Claudia and the Terrible Truth. They're both good stories but Claudia and the Terrible Truth is too short.

Understanding the Network: A Practical Guide to Internetworking
Published in Paperback by Que (15 April, 2000)
Author: Michael J. Martin
Average review score:

A good supliment
I must say that overall this is a very good book that has quite a bit of "little extra" info in it.

Also, I am currently working towards my certified Cisco network associate (CCNA) and this book is working out to be a very nice resource to turn to after class. It goes into a lot of the little things that I had questions about in class but that were out of the scope of the class or the instructors just never went over (like some of the TCP/IP stuff).

However, I consider myself an above average computer user (its been a hobby of mine for about 10 years now) and a novice/intermedite programmer, and there are some things in this book that are just over my head. I would say that I understand about 80% of the content and I just chug through the rest. This is not an entry level book. After realizing the level of content I checked the jacket and it gives the impression that this book is desigend for people that are already in the IT field and they arn't kidding!

Still good to read through though and I'm picking up quite a bit of intresting information!

Great Book
I found this book to be very helpful in all my tasks. All of the configuration examples are exactly as they should be. I was having a hard time with some of the different technologies, but this book explains everything very simple. I recommend this book to any Network Engineer who needs a no nonsense all in one guide.

An ideal, highly recommended title for novice developers.
In Understanding The Network: A Practical Guide To Internetworking, UNIX/NT network administrator Michael Martin serves up real-world examples and practical advice on the fundamentals of professional networking. Each chapter builds on the previous one so that by the concluded chapter the reader will clearly understand everything necessary to build and manage a multiprotocol local or wide area computer network, as well as have a solid foundational understanding of the technical material needed to continue study towards a Cisco CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE. Understanding The Network is a highly recommended instructional work for novice network developers and has much of informative value for the more experienced networking professional as well.

Kimberly's Review
Simply wonderful! Gail writes a beautiful, heartfelt story that gently touches on some extremely genuine and delicate emotions in a way that constantly piqued my curiosity as I was transcended into the character's lives. I found the book almost impossible to put down until the last page when she surprised me again. I closed the cover feeling renewed and satisfied as the characters continued to live in my thoughts.

Brenda's Review
An excellent book, I could not put it down. I really have enjoyed all of Gail's books and can't wait for the next one.

This one is a keeper
Change is exactly what Callie Randolph needs and David and Nattie Hamilton show her what love is all about. David's love shows Callie she can overcome the her past and it's Callie's love that helps make a needy child whole again. This tender love story is definitely a keeper -- one you'll pull from your shelf to read time and time again.

Whirlwind (Tyler, Book 1)
Published in Paperback by Harlequin (March, 1992)
Author: Nancy Martin
Average review score:

A wonderful introduction to the tapestry that is Tyler.
Whirlwind is an appropriate enough title for this first book in the twelve story cycle that is to make up Harlequin's Tyler series, for that is just how Liza Baron makes her entries. Like a whirling dervish.

Broke and homeless, Liza Baron drives aimlessly through the night and winds up on the outskirts of the small Wisconsin town she thought she had left behind years ago. Not ready to mend fences with her estranged family, Liza instead heads over to the now crumbling Timberlake Lodge, there she surprises the haunted recluse Cliff Forrester. Verbal sparks fly between the seemingly mismatched couple and Liza decides to move in and restore the Timberlake (and Cliff) to past glory. Easier said than done, especially when the remains of a dead body (Liza's missing Grandmother perhaps?) are discovered on the property.

Whirlwind constantly whips from heartwarming romance to creepy supsense and back again so fast your head might spin. But author Nancy Martin never once looses her balance and crafts a wonder story that is a delight to read. I look forward to visiting Tyler again and again.

an awsome read !
this is a touching story of relationships bettween mother and daughters , husbands and wifes , men and women . i picked this series up cause i had run out of this to read . i stayed up ALL nnight readingthis story not able to put it down . from the very first chapter you are drwn into the charaters . with liza's screwed up family , and her excape from chicago , cliffs past and his present hermit stage you are drawn into this book to the piont of not being capable of putting it down , even for 5 minns . this is a wonderful read and i highly recommened it .

I suggest this book to all romance and thriller readers.
I found the two first books to the Tyler series and after I had read them I became addicted, only to turn around and not be able to find the next 10. After 2 weeks of searching the entire county I found them. I'm putting all housework aside and I'm going to finish this series!

5-A Process of Programming: Simple Process! Powerful Decisions! Accurate Results!
Published in Paperback by Dorrance Publishing Co (August, 1999)
Authors: Martin B. Brecht and Martin, B. Brecht
Average review score:

A great text on the "accomplishing" process.
For me this has become a reference for solving problems, organizing teams, prioritizing tasks, and generally getting things accomplished. I would recommend it to anyone that could use some very practical help in becoming more effective. Thought provoking and useful. I'm looking forward to Brecht's next book.

Powerful and Dynamic Problem Solving/Improvement Tool!
The 5-A Process is an extremely powerful and dynamic problem solving and improvement tool. Brecht does a superb job of relating real life experiences to the process to help the reader visualize the process. With over twenty years in the engineering and utility industry this is without a doubt the clearest and easiest problem solving process that I have seen. The 5-A process works and will bring you to the right solution or decision quickly and efficiently!

Everyone who routinely has to make decisions needs to read and apply this book to their lives!

great process for problem solving
In reading this book I found it giving a very good in detail, (I might add) program on how to solve a problem, and how to approach the total process step by step.I also liked the complete review on the process its self. Its ease to see how this process could be used in alot of different situations just by using some basic fundamentals. As the author says the power of the program is in its simplicity. The flow chart is there all you have to do in plug in and use it. I can see how you would get alot of verbal input using this program. In following the flow of the chart once you establish your problem , should you reach a point and not agree you simply return and re-analyze and follow the flow. Its a very detailed program. Its easy to see alot of time and effort went into developing this process. I enjoyed reading the book.
